PhD study programme


CURRICULUM OF DOCTORAL STUDIES


Each student will take part in courseworks organised in following blocks:

General obligatory subjects - including the most noteworthy current topics from agronomy, animal sciences, forestry, horticulture, food technology.

Advanced courses - depends on students selection from either agriculture or forestry track.

Facultative courses - workshops teaching students how to make project using research methods and techniques:
  1. Methodology of scientific research
  2. Research methods
  3. Statistical analysis of quantitative data
  4. Developing a research proposal
  5. Application of computer software in data analysis

Skills building - working as a part of a research team, writing a scientific text in English, proper organization of an individual work on dissertation and preparation for public defence of the Ph.D. thesis.

Ph.D. seminars - obligatory for students in order to present parts of the Ph.D. All courses and seminars will be taught in English by the most renowned Polish professors from the University of Agriculture and invited teachers from Polish and international universities.
